Apprentice Carpenter Goes Shopping

Apprentice Carpenter Goes Shopping

After a brief summer hiatus the Bright Beginnings Foundation is pleased to announce that our first small grant recipient is ready to go to Kwantlen Polytechnique University. She is the proud owner of a buggy full of tools and safety equipment that she will use in her apprenticeship carpentry program.  She now has her own set of circular saws, chisel set, safety glasses, respirator, etc. that will go with her throughout her lifetime as a carpenter.

Thank you to Wayne at Home Depot for helping her choose the right equipment. Thank you to Home Depot (Langley) for giving her a discount on her purchases thereby making our gift go even further. Thank you also to Nichole (Options Community Services Society) for helping the Bright Beginnings Foundation lay a pathway to a brighter future for one person.
