BBF has been officially, and very successfully, launched into the community. We had a table at the Vaisakhi Parade in Surrey and we were VERY busy. We had a fun activity for the kids that gave us just the right amount of time to speak to the parents about BBF. Most of the people we spoke to were very interested in what we were doing. We gave them brochures and bookmarks with our website and told them about how they can donate. We told them that we were not really asking for donations during the parade because, “Vaisakhi is about giving, not taking. We are just wanting to let people know what we are about.” Even so, we did still get some small donations. Perhaps the best news of all… just as I was about to leave, along came a TV cameraman and a reporter for a punjabi TV station. They interviewed (a very nervous) me about BBF! Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the news clip.
