If you have been selected to receive a Bright Beginnings Foundation Bursary, you will be asked to sign a contract similar to this one.

This agreement serves as a binding contract between _________________, herein referred to as “Student”, and Bright Beginnings Foundation, herein referred to as “BBF”. By signing this contract, the Student accepts the BBF Bursary and understands and agrees to adhere to the following requirements for the duration of BBF’s support.
1. The Student must be enrolled as a full-time student at __________________________ beginning in September 20___. The BBF Bursary will be terminated if the student withdraws from this same Post -Secondary Institution.
2. The BBF Bursary will only be applied toward courses that satisfy a requirement for certification in the student’s chosen program.
3. The Student must take a minimum of five (5) courses per semester, unless approval by the BBF Selection Committee is granted prior to the start of that particular semester. (Exception is made for the summer semester if prior approval from BBF has been granted. See section 4)
4. It is assumed that students will be attending courses in the Fall and Spring terms, allowing for the student to find employment during the summer months, unless approval by the BBF Selection Committee is granted prior to the start of that Summer session.
5. To continue with the bursary program, students must obtain passing grades. A withdrawal from a course after the schools’ deadline is considered a fail.
6. Any course that must be retaken due to late withdrawal or failure, will be at the students’ expense and not the responsibility of BBF.
7. At the completion of each semester or reporting period, and within two (2) weeks, the Student will  provide BBF with proof of credit granted, such as a copy of their transcript, and a short summary of their progress. The Student may submit this online or  email a facsimile with all information included. This should be emailed to your BBF Support Contact with a cc sent to tnrneuman@gmail.com
8. The Student will provide a list of courses for the following term so that BBF can ensure the correct funds will be deposited into the Student’s _____ account. Any course changes must be made by the schools’ deadline and notification of the change be sent to your BBF Support  Contact and tnrneuman@gmail.com.
9. Students will take it upon themselves to promptly communicate any pertinent information, questions or concerns. that might affect successful completion of their studies. These should be communicated without delay by emailing their BBF Support Contact and tnrneuman@gmail.com
10. Bursaries are for consecutive school years and cannot be deferred from one year to the next without prior written permission from the BBF.
11. Funding will be reassessed yearly and may continue up to _____ (__) consecutive years from the start of the initial semester.
12. The Student will declare, in a timely manner, if s/he receives any other awards, such as scholarships, grants or bursaries, prior to and while attending ______. This is for the purpose of adjusting the level of financial support to meet the changing needs of the Student. Any award of up to $2,000 will be retained by the Student.
13. The financial relationship between BBF and the Student will terminate at the completion of the Student’s program or at the end of ____(__) years, whichever comes first.
14. The Student understands that BBF funding is limited to the funds we have raised through grants and our fundraisers. As such, we are able to pay for our students’ full tuition, student fees and required educational materials. BBF’s aim is to help as many students and their families as possible by giving the students an opportunity to obtain the degree of education required to obtain a fairly-paid career that will benefit our students and their families in a permanent way.
15. The Student gives BBF permission to publicize their general story to aid in BBF’s fundraising efforts. Identifiable information and photos will be used only with the student’ permission.
