Celebrating Bright Futures

On April 12th, 2019 BBF held its second annual Banquet. It was a wonderful success and we are delighted to report we are able to pay for one full year of tuition, student fees and educational materials for our second student!

But we can’t stop now…

Bright Beginnings Foundation is committed to supporting our first student.Our 2018 high-school graduate has just successfully completed her first year of a four-year program at SFU. At the same time, we are poised to help a second student. He is graduating this year from one of Surrey Public
Secondary Schools and is looking forward to attending College in the Fall.

On Saturday May 4th BBF is holding our second annual SYLVIA’S PLANT SALE. If you came last year, you’ll remember the huge number and variety of plants available for sale. This year, believe it or not, there are even more indoor and outdoor plants. There are both perennials and annuals as well as a variety of plant pots and stands.

100% of the proceeds from SYLVIA’S PLANT SALE go towards our students’ post-secondary education

In our quest to raise awareness of the issue of poverty in our community KEATCA (our sister organization) and BBF are holding an exciting event. We are inviting Surrey Schools to participate by holding school-wide discussions, debates and leadership activities that will culminate with our first annual Walk a thon on Sat., May 11th. We are planning a fun, family-friendly event. We are so excited about working with Surrey Schools to raise awareness of the issue of poverty in our community.
